WEAB Election 2011-2012

Women Entrepreneurs Association of Bangladesh (WEAB) Election for the period of 2011-2012 was held on 27th December, 2010 at WEAB office in Dhaka. The Executive Committee elected Mrs. Nasreen Awal Mintoo as President, Mrs. Shahruk Rahman as 1st Vice-President and Mrs. Jahan Ara Anser as 2^nd Vice-President. 

In the WEAB Annual General Meeting on 19th January 2011, immediate past President Mrs. Rehana Rahman and the old Committee handed over the power to the new committee. The new President has vowed to continue the progression of the organization and she has called all members to reunite for all future endeavors.

WEAB President Mrs. Rehana Rahman and executive member Sultana Azad were awarded at this ceremony. The Chief Guest was Nasreen Awal Mintoo.

Special Awards for WEAB members:

The Business Express awarded WEAB President Rehana Rahman and Founder President Nasreen Awal Mintoo as the Best Women Entrepreneur of the Year 2009.

The Celibest Magazine awarded Nasreen Awal Mintoo as the Special Woman Entrepreneur. 

SME Fair organised by FBCCI at China-Bangladesh Friendship Hall.

24^th-28^th May 2009: SME Fair organised by FBCCI at China-Bangladesh Friendship Hall. At the closing ceremony, women entrepreneurs were given SME award. WEAB member from Bagura, Zakia Sultana, and from Dhaka Nahida Sharmin were honoured by the award.

WEAB member Mrs. Farida Begum received the Moulana Bhasani Gold Award

July 2009: WEAB member Mrs. Farida Begum received the Moulana Bhasani Gold Award for Best Women Entrepreneur of 2009.
